About

I have recently completed my MA at the University of Auckland and am now in the process of researching for my doctoral studies at Monash University. The title of my MA thesis was, In the Pursuit of Maat: The Legal System of the Old Kingdom. My PhD thesis will examine the foreign policy of the Old Kingdom focusing on archaeological, historical and literary aspects relating to this topic.

My interests lay in the legal mechanics of ancient Egypt during the Old, Middle and New Kingdoms. I also have an interest in the Second Intermediate Period and the social history of this time. My interests range from historical and archaeological to religious and social in nature.
