About
My background is both interdisciplinary and international. I was educated in Australia, Canada the UK & the US. I have tertiary qualifications in History (BA, MA, PhD), Film (Grad Dip) and Museums Studies (Grad Dip).
My research interests reflect this combination. My PhD thesis while focused on the American experience of the 1930s and its interpretation within museums used Canadian and Australian institutions for comparison. It drew on art, photography, media, urban, labour and social history.
My future research interests include examinations of public narratives of vulnerability, the way art is used in history exhibitions, and renditions of housing within museums.
