Nicola commenced at Monash University in February 2010. She has written The Multiplicities of Internet Addiction (Ashgate, 2009) and Publishing from your PhD: Negotiating a Crowded Jungle (Gower, 2011).

At the University of Wollongong, Nicola taught in the professional development strand within the primary undergraduate program at the Faculty of Education.

At Monash, Nicola teaches units within the primary education degree and the Graduate Diploma of Education program that focus on professional practice, multiliteracies, curriculum and pedagogy.

Nicola is currently the leader of the Learning with New Media research group. http://newmediaresearch.educ.monash.edu.au/moodle/
