About
I am currently teaching part-time in the School of Philosophy and Bioethics, having completed my Ph.D in 2008 and formally graduated in 2009. I already had a Ph.D in English literature, and I am a high-profile scholar in the field of science fiction studies.
I will probably take up an adjunct appointment at Monash, and I am not currently looking for full-time academic work.
However, I am DEFINITELY looking for:
* Paid freelance writing opportunities (including book reviews and articles).
* Publishing contacts.
* Academic collaborators.
I write about: emerging technologies, including the debate over transhumanism; philosophical bioethics; religion and its social role, including the current debates over the "New Atheism" and the relationship between religion and science; civil liberties, especially freedom of speech and freedom of religion; the history and current state of the science fiction genre; and a wide range of issues in current philosophy.
